DAY 1: ARRIVE IN MUMBAI

On arrival at Mumbai, our local representative will assist you at the airport and with transfer to hotel. (Check in time at hotel is 1400 hrs.). Rest of the day at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 2: MUMBAI SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast proceed with a Half-day city tour of Mumbai

THE GATEWAY OF INDIA: This is the Main Attraction of Mumbai
City. Built To Commemorate the Visit of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar In 1911.
THE HANGING GARDENS: The Hanging Gardens, Mumbai, also
known as Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens, are terraced gardens perched at the top of Malabar Hill, on its western side, just opposite the Kamala Nehru Park. They provide sunset views over the Arabian Sea and feature numerous hedges carved into the shapes of animals. The park was laid out in 1881 over Bombay’s main reservoir, some say this was done to shade the water from the potentially contaminating activity of the nearby Towers of Silence.
DHOBI GHAT: A place where locals wash clothes [open air Laundromat]. The washers locally known as Dhobis work in the open to wash the clothes from Mumbai’s hotels and hospitals. There are countless rows of open-air concrete wash pens, each fitted with their own flogging stone. Dubbed as the world’s largest outdoor laundromat Dhobi Ghat is a very popular attraction among foreign tourists.
MARINE DRIVE: A stroll down Marine Drive is the best way to discover Mumbai. This winding stretch of road extends from Nariman Point to Malabar Hills. Due to its curved shape and number of street lights, it was once known as the Queen’s
Necklace. Spend the latter half of the day shopping. Later return to the hotel and spend the night there.

 

DAY 3: MUMBAI/BANGALORE BY AI-639 (0925/1115)

After early breakfast transfer from the hotel to the Mumbai airport to board the flight to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore transfer from airport to hotel.
In the afternoon proceed to visit Vidhan Soudha, the Lal Bagh Garden and Tippu’s Palace, Tippu Sultan’s summer retreat. Also visit Cubbon Park. Spend the night at hotel.

 

DAY 4: BANGALORE/MYSORE VIA SRIRANGAPATNAM (145 KMS/4 Hrs.)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Mysore. En route visit Srirangapatnam – Island fortress of Tippu Sultan
and the mosque and later Sriranganatha Temple. Further continue drive to Mysore, on arrival in Mysore check in a hotel and get ready for the evening visit to Chamundi Hill. Atop a hill, view the 4.8m high sculptured Nandi and the Mahishasura.
Return to hotel and overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 5: MYSORE

After breakfast, proceed to the – Maharaja Palace – a splendid structure in the Indo-Saracenic architectural style. A magnificent gold throne is displayed here during the Dasara celebrations. Thereafter proceed to the
Art Gallery in Jaganmohan Palace – to view the unique collection of ceramics, sandalwood, ivory, stone, antique furniture and ancient musical instruments. Then visit St. Philomena’s Church built in Gothic style with lofty towers. During the evening, visit Brindavan Garden – located beside the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam. The musical fountains and colored lights transform this place into a fairy tale. Return to the hotel. Spend the night at
the hotel.

 

DAY 6: MYSORE/HASSAN VIA SHRAVANABELAGOLA (150 KMS/3 TO 4 HRS)

After an early breakfast, check out from hotel and drive towards Hassan, visit Shravanabelagola falls en route – A famous Jain temple is located here with a huge statue of Lord Gomateshwara, a Jain saint, atop one of the hills. After this visit, resume the journey to Hassan. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 7: HASSAN/BELUR/HALEBID/HASSAN (60 KMS/2 HRS DRIVE ONE WAY)

After breakfast proceed to Belur temples. Later drive to Halebid to visit the temple, perched on a star-shaped rock. This temple is famous for its sculpted beauty. Thereafter return to Hassan. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 8:  HASSAN/HOSPET (360 KMS/7 – 8 HRS.)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to Hospet. On arrival check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 9: HOSPET/HAMPI/HOSPET (16 KMS / 30 MINUTES ONE WAY)

After breakfast, proceed on excursion to Hampi – which is a World Heritage Center. This is the erstwhile Capital of the Vijaya Nagar empire now strewn in ruins. Explore the monuments of the golden era of theVijayanagar Empire. Prominent monuments of Hampi are: Lotus Mahal, Elephant stables, Krishna Temple, Kodandarama Temple, Vitthal Temple, Raghunath Temple and Hazara Ram Temple. Return to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 10:  HOSPET/BADAMI (135 KMS/3 TO 4 HRS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Badami. On arrival, check in at the Hotel. In the late afternoon drive to the Badami Caves, located at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills. Rust red sandstone cliffs of Badami hills tell the tales of its past glory through its monuments. Visit North Fort and watch the platforms imagining the structures that populated these ruins. View the relics at the Banashankari temple dedicated to the goddess Banashankari (Parvati). Thereafter return to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 11: BADAMI/AIHOLE/PATTADAKAL/BADAMI (50 KMS/2 HRS ONE WAY)

After breakfast proceed to a day-long excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal. Aihole – a vast complex of Indian Temples representing Chalukya Architecture. There are over 125 temples with intricate carvings. Of these, the famous temples are Lad Khan Temple, Durg (fort) Temple, Ravalphadi Cave Temple, Konti Temple Complex, Jain Meguthi Temple. Later proceed to visit Pattadakal –
a World Heritage center with 10 major temples representing early Chalukyan
architecture. Visit the main temples of Virupaksha, Mallikarjuna and Panatha.
After the visit return to Badami in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 12: BADAMI/GOA (260 KMS/7 HRS)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to Goa. On arrival at Goa, you will be directly transferred to Goa hotel. Spend the evening at leisure in Goa. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 13: GOA

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure or your own activities. (No transportation included on this day) Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 14 : GOA

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure or your own activities. (No transportation included on this day) Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 15 : GOA/MUMBAI BY AI-664 (1525/1645 HRS)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Spend the night at the hotel.

 

DAY 16 : MUMBAI (DEPARTURE)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and transfer to Mumbai International Airport.
